Zeta Beta Tau
Delta Beta currently has 124 active brothers. We pride ourselves on academia, philanthropic activities within the UConn community, and our tight knit brotherhood. Delta Beta consists of an executive board of 8 brothers, President, Internal Vice President, External Vice President, Rush Chair, Brotherhood Development Director, Treasurer, Event Coordinator, and Risk Manager.
Connor Keenan, our president, oversees the chapter as a whole, and communicates with UConn to make sure our chapter is always up to University standards and that we are doing everything we can do to be the best fraternity possible through virtually every aspect.
Caio Goncalves, Internal Vice President, is in charge of making sure things run smoothly within our chapter as well as communication with nationals to make sure things are up to par.
Matthew Kirsch, our External Vice President, is responsible for all of ZBT's fundraisers, philanthropies, as well as our yearly participation in HuskyTHON. He created one of our very own flagship annual philanthropies, ZBTeeoff, a golf tournament to raise money for Birdies for the Brave.
Conor Melendez, our Rush Chair, works to recruit new members by coordinating rush events to bring new brothers to our chapter. Events include things like 3v3 basketball tournaments and Poker nights.
Jack Pizzo, Brotherhood Development Director, maintains our strong brotherhood by educating our members on the core values of ZBT as well as organizing events and outings for the chapter to participate in.
Rob Vessella, our Treasurer, is in charge of managing ZBT's budget and allocates money to certain areas of the chapter. This money allows us to fund various events such as brotherhood events and philanthropies.
Nate Kozlowski, the Event Coordinator, works to establish good relations with other greek life organizations on campus. He plans events including other fraternities and sororities to help further strengthen the bond between UConn's greek community.
Kevin Monaco, Risk Manager, is in charge of making sure everything always runs safe and smoothly for our chapter.
ZBT's credo is as follows:
We, the brothers of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity, believe that the development of the individual as a responsible, mature member of society is the primary goal of the university today.
We believe that fraternity offers to the university community a unique, desirable and successful means of achieving this goal.
In fulfilling the purposes of fraternity, we dedicate ourselves to the principles of:
INTELLECTUAL AWARENESS. Fraternity creates an atmosphere conducive to the expansion of the individual's intellectual horizons, the interchange of ideas within the academic community and the pursuit of scholastic excellence.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. Fraternity requires the individual to commit himself and accept his responsibility to participate.
INTEGRITY. Fraternity generates a standard of personal integrity – a framework for the individual to maintain honesty, exhibit loyalty and retain a sense of self-discipline.
BROTHERLY LOVE. Fraternity inspires and expresses the interrelation of the individual with his fellows, his pride in the institution and respect for the wisdom of its tradition.
